Sally Gardner, RMT
Sally Gardner completed her massage therapy education at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1991. Since then Sally has continued to increase her skills and techniques through such courses as Western Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage and Schweitzer’s Deep Tissue Therapy. After taking the Schweitzer’s Deep Tissue Therapy technique Sally trained as an assistant to Gary Schweitzer and has worked with him teaching other therapists in Canada, Norway and Iceland.
Sally has worked with athletes at many different events including the National Diving Championships, International Track and Field Championships, the Royal Victoria Marathon, Canadian Ironman, the 1992 Canadian Women’s Olympic Rowing Team and the 1994 Commonwealth Games.
Her primary focus is deep tissue massage which Sally feels is the quickest way to affect change in the dysfunction and pain associated with soft tissue strain and injury. Although there can be some discomfort for the patient, with good communication as part of the treatment protocol, patients can be assured that they have final word when it comes to how deep to treat.
